In recent days, a significant number of Palestinian civilians embarked on a challenging journey southward from the northern region of Gaza, seeking safety from the ongoing Israeli airstrikes and intense ground clashes between Israeli forces and Hamas militants. As this mass exodus unfolded, negotiations mediated by Qatar were in progress to secure the release of a dozen hostages held by Hamas. The proposed agreement aimed to establish a three-day humanitarian pause, during which Hamas would release the hostages, and Egypt would have an extended period to deliver essential aid. The dire situation highlights the urgent need for immediate international intervention to alleviate the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
