The announcement came from the president’s office on Sunday, stating that the Cabinet has amended regulations to prevent individuals holding Israeli passports from entering the Muslim-majority nation. Additionally, a subcommittee has been established to oversee this process, as per the official website of the Maldivian presidency.

President Mohamed Muizzu has also pledged to appoint a special envoy to evaluate Palestinian requirements and has initiated a fundraising campaign to provide assistance to Gaza through the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA).

Furthermore, a national march under the theme “Maldives Stands in Solidarity with Palestine” has been planned to demonstrate support for Gaza’s plight.
